Day 15 Chambord (yes, the same as the drink you add to champagne)

Coffee and pastries in the center square of Orleans and then we were off. More cruising trail with a few small towns. A short stop in beaugency to look at the castle, church and the ice cream store and then on to Chambord.

We had some disappointment when the place we are staying was vastly different in the virtual world than what we saw (largely still under construction here!) But we moved on emotionally, dropped our bags and went to see the massive chateau Chambord. It was vast and swarming with tourists and also largely under (re) construction. Some cool modern art inside along with endless rooms and halls. Dinner back at the hotel and an early bed.
