Day 13 and 14 loving Ljubljana

Good night at the hostel and easy train trip to Ljubljana (1.5 hr ride). Explored the castle and the town, which is super! Very compact with a lot to see. The next day we went on the free walking tour (tip-based fee) which over 2 hours really helped explain a lot of what we saw the day before, ate a great lunch of local food (salad with pumpkin seed oil, sausage, and the local special layer cake). Will finish by riding our bikes to the art district and then an early dinner and bed to catch the early train to Rijeka and start the Croatia part of our bike ride.

Slovenian local trains have very convenient bike racks. Our green rental bikes are easy to spot!
